All staff (and users) are able to see a new link ‘Meeting’. I encourage everyone to take a look at this. ALL staff should read this.
I also updated the akick corner since we wiped the AKICK list in the channel.
I am open to suggestions, complaints, etc. Please message me on DALnet under the nickname(s) Keith2 or Keith. If I don’t respond under Keith2, then I am not here & will return your message as soon as I become available. You’re also able to send me a more detailed suggestion to email@example.com — I check this email daily & will respond there as well. Just please be sure to include your nickname when sending the email; unless you wish to remain anonymous.
Thanks again for choosing #Teen for your DALnet chatting experience! Happy Holidays!

Over the past few weeks, a lot has been going on in the channel. I know it’s partially (or more then partially) my fault, and I am hoping to get things changed once and for all. We have had a bunch of issues in the channel, between kicks, bans, operators fighting, users being upset, and so on. I have sat down (well, sent a message & had a conversation) with a majority of the members in #Teen, and I think everyone is finally getting on the same page. I am working hard to make the channel a better place for everyone, including myself. I can’t stand to connect to DALnet, and not even want to join my own channel because of the massive amount of issues. I have promoted a few of the current operators (@) to Super Operators (SOps) and have even chosen a couple new managers to help run the channel.
There is a couple changes coming, that I think will be nice for #Teen as well. First off, we’re setting up a stats bot, that will have a webpage set up with it. This will keep track of joins, kicks, who chats the most, etc. We will reward our top chatters at the end of each month. This also works for me as the founder, it allows me to see which people (users & ops) are actually chatting in the channel, and who is idle. Second, we’re adding #Teen Trivia Tuesday – every Tuesday there will be trivia running in the channel. You do not have to play the trivia of course, but it changes up the daily routine of the channel. Top players will also be rewarded! Third, we’ve been going through the bots automatic ban list to ensure we’re not banning people who shouldn’t be banned, if you happen to get banned and want to dispute it, simply message one of the current operators (@) in the channel, and we’ll attempt to fix the issue(s).
Along with that, our staff has now communicated & is working together. We look forward to the future and making #Teen a better channel for not only ourselves, but you; the user of this channel. We appreciate your support, and apologize for the inconvience with everything that has happened. We will also be buying a domain for the channel, this will allow users who don’t use mIRC to join the channel directly through our website; this will happen once we find a domain name we think works for the channel. #Teen will also be featured on Keith’s website designed for new IRC users – http://IRCNewbies.Com – Take a look!

There will be a complete update of the website here within the next week or so. Our main website http://IRCnewbies.com will be leaving wordpress, and becoming fully operational. The .com part of the website is just about complete. Once it’s complete, we will continue to work with getting the website represented by mIRC itself (Khaled Mardem-Bey & Tjerk). We will also be working to link newbies.pa.us.dal.net to the DALnet network in the upcoming months. I will tell you that I have had several requests on making some changes to the channel, therefore if you think you have what it takes to help manage #Teen, email Admin@IRCNewbies.com with whatever information you think will be valuable to bringing you to our management team. Keep in mind, include your nickname! A couple people I will mention who have worked hard on managing the channel are DayDevil, Scot & Ziddy. I personally thank you all. We will be adding known helpers across DALnet to the team, this will better assist the users who are joining & are unregistered.
Thanks again for your continued support to #Teen.

Okay, over the next couple of days, I will have the following material added.

2. Team listings.
3. Revised copy of the rules, policies, as well as an operator’s guide.
4. Information about the upcoming channel meeting.
5. Details about what #TeenOps will be used for.

Remember, if you want to include some things about you, send them to Admin@IRCNewbies.com. All staff need to send their real name (first name is fine), Location, Sex, Age, Strengths/Weaknesses on IRC, Email address. Let me know what information out of that you will allow to be put on the website. However, email is needed for the monthly newsletter and for management purposes. Welcome to the wordpress site designed for the chat channel #Teen on DALnet. Over the past few weeks, we have been making a great deal of adjustments to ensure a better chat experience to our users. We are currently in the process of figuring out who fits where, and how each and every staff member has a role that not only suits them, but as well as #Teen as well.
Please continue to check back as we make updates to this wordpress site. The main goal for the time being was to get the rules up, so that’s what we’re doing!
Thanks for choosing DALnet’s #Teen!
